Compassion & Hope Food Basket is a vision that the Lord gave Pastor John Skinner years ago. It all became a reality when the Lord, through much labor and prayer, opened the doors for Compassion & Hope Food Basket to come into existence.
Compassion & Hope Food Basket is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt not for profit organization that provides a hot nourishing meal for those in our community and surrounding areas. Although Pastor John Skinner officially started Compassion & Hope Food Basket in October of 2012, he has been going to the streets actively feeding the hungry for 21 years. This non-profit is committed to serving people in need; those who may suffer with physical or mental health challenges, or lack of the ability to afford food.
We recognize the pain of individuals struggling with such critical issues as homelessness, substance abuse, delinquency, child abuse, delayed education and unemployment. We also strive to uphold the following values:
*Providing quality services to all of God's children, regardless of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, mental or physical disabilities or ability to pay for services. *Showing sensitivity and caring.
*Being accountable and responsive.
*Offering a fulfilling volunteer experience while giving back to a greater cause.
